# Static Webpages Testing

Testing and documenting the static website hosting features of Ghaymah Cloud.

## Test Results

## Test 1 — Basic Static Page

**Test:** Verify that the platform can upload and serve a basic static HTML website.

- Created a simple HTML page containing text to verify successful deployment.
- Tested uploading the website as a `.rar` file; the platform did not accept it.
- Uploaded the website as a `.zip` file.
- Initially, the ZIP contained `test-01/index.html`, which caused a **403 Forbidden** error.
- Moved `index.html` directly to the ZIP root and uploaded it again.
- The page then deployed and loaded successfully.
- **Result: PASS** ✅

## Test 2 — CSS + JavaScript

**Test:** Verify that the platform correctly serves and executes **CSS and JavaScript files** alongside an HTML page.

- Created a webpage with separate HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files.
- Uploaded all three files in the ZIP root.
- Verified that the CSS was loaded and applied correctly.
- Verified that the JavaScript executed correctly through a button interaction.
- **Result: PASS** ✅

## Test 3 — Nested Files & Assets

**Test:** Verify that the platform correctly serves files and assets located inside nested folders.

- Created a webpage with CSS, JavaScript, and an image stored inside an `assets` folder.
- Uploaded the website with `index.html` directly in the ZIP root.
- Verified that the CSS, JavaScript, and image loaded successfully.
- **Result: PASS** ✅

## Test 4 — PHP Support

**Test:** Verify whether the platform can execute PHP applications as advertised.

- Created a simple PHP page displaying a confirmation message, PHP version, and server time.
- Uploaded `index.php` directly in the ZIP root.
- The platform detected the website as a **PHP application**.
- PHP code executed successfully.
- **Result: PASS** ✅

## Test 5 — React Support

**Test:** Verify that the platform can deploy and serve a **React production build**.

- Created a minimal React application using Vite.
- Built the application for production.
- Uploaded the generated `dist` contents as a ZIP.
- React application loaded successfully.
- Verified that the React button interaction worked correctly.
- **Result: PASS** ✅

## Test 6 — Vue Support

**Test:** Verify that the platform can deploy and serve a **Vue production build**.

- Created a minimal Vue application using Vite.
- Built the application for production.
- Uploaded the generated `dist` contents as a ZIP.
- Vue application loaded successfully.
- Verified that the Vue button interaction worked correctly.
- **Result: PASS** ✅

## Test 7 — Angular Support

**Test:** Verify that the platform can deploy and serve an **Angular production build**.

- Created a minimal Angular application.
- Verified the application locally.
- Built the application for production.
- Uploaded the generated production build with `index.html` in the ZIP root.
- Angular application loaded successfully.
- Verified that the frontend functionality worked correctly.
- **Result: PASS** ✅

## Test 8 — Redeployment / Updates

**Test:** Verify that an existing static website can be updated and redeployed successfully.

- Deployed **Version 1** successfully.
- Modified the website content to **Version 2**.
- Attempted to update the existing deployment.
- The update failed with:
  **`Cumin API update failed: Method Not Allowed`**
- **Result: FAIL** ❌

## Test 9 — Custom Domain Configuration

**Test:** Verify that a custom domain can be successfully connected to a static website.

- Configured the custom domain `amirkasseb.online`.
- Added the required **CNAME record**.
- Waited more than **48 hours** for DNS propagation.
- The custom domain was still not successfully connected.
- **Result: FAIL** ❌

**Issue:** Custom domain configuration did not complete despite the required DNS record and waiting period.

## Summary

The platform successfully hosted:

- HTML
- CSS / JavaScript
- Nested assets
- PHP
- React
- Vue
- Angular

Two issues were identified:

1. **Redeployment:** Existing deployments could not be updated due to a `Method Not Allowed` API error.
2. **Custom Domain:** The custom domain configuration did not complete after more than 48 hours.

**Final Result: 7/9 tests passed (77.8%).**
